This document explains what happens when you book with us. Please read it carefully.

1. WHO WE ARE AND OUR AGREEMENT WITH YOU

Curated Journeys offers travel services under the following terms.

By making a booking:

  • You enter into a legally binding agreement with us

  • A booking is confirmed when we receive your deposit and provide written confirmation

  • These terms will apply to all travellers in your booking party

2. FINANCIAL COMMITMENTS

Payment Structure

  • Initial deposit of 30% is required to secure your spot

  • Final payment due 60 days before departure

  • For bookings within 60 days of departure, full payment required immediately

  • Late payments may affect trip availability and incur additional fees

Transaction Details

  • All prices in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless specified otherwise

  • Foreign currency payments accepted at our designated exchange rate

  • Credit card and payment platform transactions incur merchant fees (1.5% Visa/Mastercard, 2.5% Amex)

  • You're responsible for any currency exchange fluctuations and bank fees

3. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

Amendments

  • All changes must be requested in writing

  • Administration fee of $200 applies per change

  • Changes subject to availability and supplier terms

Cancellation Fees

  • 91+ days before departure: Deposit forfeited

  • 31-90 days: 50% of total trip cost

  • 0-30 days: No refund (including no-shows)

  • Additional supplier cancellation charges may apply

  • Experience Design Fee ($595 per person) is non-refundable

Curated Journeys-Initiated Cancellations

  • Full refund provided for company-initiated cancellations

  • Force Majeure cancellations: Refund limited to recoverable costs

  • We're not liable for associated costs (flights, visas, etc.)

4. COVID-19 PROVISIONS

Qualified Disruptions

  • Border closures

  • Official travel restrictions

  • Mandatory quarantine requirements

Your Options

  1. Credit toward future booking valid for 24 months (subject to price adjustments)

  2. Refund of recoverable costs (excluding Experience Design Fee and merchant fees)

Note: Standard cancellation terms apply for 'change of mind,' including COVID-related travel concerns.

5. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Travel Documentation

  • Valid passport (minimum 6 months beyond return date)

  • Appropriate visas for entire journey including transit

  • Comprehensive travel insurance (mandatory)

Personal Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years (or accompanied by legal guardian)

  • Suitable fitness level for chosen experience

  • Disclosure of medical conditions or special needs

  • Compliance with local laws and customs

6. OPERATIONAL MATTERS

Program Flexibility

  • We reserve the right to modify itineraries

  • No refunds for unused services

  • Alternative arrangements provided where possible

  • Authentic local experiences and artisan connections prioritized

Liability Limitations

  • Services provided with due care and skill

  • Not liable for third-party services or Force Majeure events

  • Claims must be submitted within 30 days of experience completion

  • Legal proceedings must commence within one year

7. MEDIA AND PRIVACY

  • We may photograph or record during experiences

  • Content may be used for promotional purposes

  • Royalty-free license granted for company use

  • We respect your privacy and follow Australian Privacy Principles

8. LEGAL FRAMEWORK

  • Agreement governed by VIC, Australia law

  • Exclusive jurisdiction of VIC courts

  • Terms may be updated at our discretion

9. ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By securing your booking with us, you confirm understanding and acceptance of these terms.
